What is a White Weenie deck?

White Weenie is an aggro deck comprised of the most efficient White creatures for their mana cost. It is
normally a mono colored deck however there is the occasional W/x build that pops up. The deck is also very resilient to sweeper effects.

Variants:

Kithkin- Tribal from Lorwyn block
Mirrormaster- Kithkin White Weenie with Thistledown Liege and Mirrorweave
Soldier- Also tribal but incorporating the new soldiers from the 2010 core set.

"White Weenie Your Face Off" by DarrenDC

This is a very fast, powerful, and versatile white weenie deck. I've had a White Weenie deck ever since I started playing. This deck has gone through numerous iterations with the inclusion of type 2 and newer sets.

Whats great is that you can get very powerful creatures very fast w/ Empyrial armor. You can spirit link those creatures for large amounts of life. The creatures keep coming and the damage mounts up fast.

Beyond Dominia's White Weenie Primer

INTRODUCTION
(Note: This Primer is geared for casual players with no cards before Revised and for beginning players, and focuses on the mono-color white weenie deck. Adding power cards is a simple exercise outside the basic white weenie structure.)

When I want a simple but effective deck, I turn to white weenie. It’s simplicity is deceptive, however, as this is one of the most versatile archtypes in Magic history, and has won tournaments at various points.

I once played a casual game like that went like this:
Turn 1: Plains, Savannah Lion
Turn 2: Plains, Attack, White Knight
Turn 3: Plains, Attack, Savannah Lion, Order of Leitbur
Turn 4: Plains, Attack, Armageddon

I soon won the 4-way multiplayer game after that.

It is not just the diverse abilities of white’s small creatures that define white weenie, however. White is the most solid color to play by itself as it has the most well-rounded supporting spells. A mid-game trick such as Armageddon shows that this archtype emphasizes flexibility aside from raw power (unlike the narrower spells that accompany red, green and black weenies).

One unique class of supporting spells further sets white weenie apart, the Disenchants. Today, white weenie can easily sideboard in fifteen cards that destroy artifacts and enchantments if it needs to, and is lethal against most combo and lock-based control decks (including Humility-, Moat- and Abyss- based decks but excluding a few that are unaffected by Disenchant, such as Pande-burst and the old Academy decks). In Tempest-era Type II, the ability to call on 4 Disenchant and 4 Aura of Silence against the weenie’s nightmare Cursed Scroll was key, and WW’s bench only deepened with later sets and Abolish and Seal of Cleansing. In The End, There Will Only Be Cockroaches and White Weenies

If the title is any indication, today's lesson is on White weenies. As long as Magic has been around, there has always been a white weenie deck. In tournament play, however, the deck seems to make an appearance in a different form every year. It's also worth noting that White Weenie hasn't usually dominated, it has rather acted as a foil deck to the metagame at the time. Only recently has the deck become a major force in tournaments. Ok, enough idle chat, on to the deck!

As I said before, White Weenie has been around in some form or another since the beginning of Magic, but it didn't make a true impact until the World Championships in 1996. Tom Chanpheng played a white weenie deck designed to beat the rampant Necropotence decks to become the 1996 World Champion. One thing that struck a lot of players as odd was the lack of Crusades in the deck. Even without the Crusades, Champheng still won the tournament, beating Mark Justice in the finals.

There was also another White Weenie deck played at Worlds that year, during the type1.5 portion of the tournament. Scott Johns played it to a first place finish during that time, and it is similar to the current extended White Weenie deck PT Jank.

During the 1996/97 Pro Tour season, White Weenie went pretty much unplayed, as there were many better deck options available. During the 1997/98 season, however, there were two types of creatures printed that made White Weenie viable again. The first was shadow creatures, such as Soltari Priest and Monk. The second type was the En-Kors, which allowed them to redirect damage from burn spells to a protection from red creature. This ability was important as Sligh was the dominant decktype during this time.. Matt Linde won the US Nationals with a White Weenie deck, beating Mike Long in the finals. Brian Hacker played the deck card for card to a top eight finish at the 1998 World Championships.
